Foreign Retail: Whole Foods Market

With the close proximity of the United Kingdom to Ireland, there’s a lot of  exchange between the two countries ranging from a variety of business to tourism.  Over the years, we’ve had countless Internet customers from Great Britain as a result of visiting Ireland.  So many people have asked if we had any retail outlets in England, Scotland, or Wales.  Unfortunately, we hadn’t any retailers there - until now! 

We’re delighted to announce that a selection of Kylemore Acres gourmet herb sachets can now be found at the “flagship” store of Whole Foods Market on Kensington High Street in London.  We hope to see this expand into the other stores around London and further afield in Great Britain during 2011.  If you’re looking for our products in Great Britain and have a Whole Foods Market near you, check in with them and request to have our products made available.

Ireland for Food Lovers

Just this week we discovered that we’ve been included in a recently published book by food and hospitality writer Georgina Campbell.  The book’s entitled:
Ireland for Food Lovers – Everything the food lover in Ireland needs to know
and is available for purchase on-line and around the country at most fine book shops.  Here’s what Georgina wrote about us:

Richard and Diana Murray’s unique taste-tested handmade food rubs and seasoning mixes are all-natural, based mainly on hand cut and naturally processed herbs; they include rubs for traditional joints like roast beef and chicken, seasoning mixes for stews and casseroles, spicy rubs and seasonings for fish; also mulling spices and – a recent addition – a herb and spice mixture for pork sausages (used in sausages at Tony Carroll’s butchers, Ballinasloe).  The carefully packed sachets are mainly available from selected butchers and seafood outlets; online shop.

Dear Kylemore Acres,

Thank you thank you thank you for your excellent products. You’ve turned me in to a masterchef!!! Just done the vindaloo with chicken which is delicious but my favourite is the Ultimate Lamb stew mix. I use lamb shanks and don’t bother with peas or potatoes but put in a whole packet of coriander and a clove of garlic and slow cook for 2 hours…. that’s got me marriage proposals. – Alan M.
